A Short Trip to Topshop

Topshop in Soho is always a top destination to find something trendy and interesting. For some reason shopping at Topshop NYC always feels a bit more special than when shopping at the Topshop London… Not sure why? But its probably because it makes me appreciate shopping in London much more. Miss it!

The fashion section of the UK newspaper the Guardian, gave readers tips on how to turn your pants into a top, after discover the easy technique from designers Annika Sanders and Kerry Seager of label “Junky Styling”. The article said “Learn how to reconstruct your clothes with this project from Junky Styling: Wardrobe Surgery, the new book from the ethical label… Annika Sanders and Kerry Seager started buying secondhand men’s suits in the early 1990s, and turned them into stylish, quirky womenswear”

Junky Style: Wardrobe Surgery (Pants to Top)

To do this you will need to have; a stretchy T-shirt or vest, scissors, pins, a sewing machine or needle, and thread. It looks pretty feasible, I am tempted to take some of my old pants and turn them into tops ( I think it would work better with male pants), but we’ll see.
